As part of cultural center competition, the task was to propose a sustainable building system. Starting from the massing study, the team incorporated solar analysis based on the site’s weather information. The goal was to design a distinctive roof that embraces vernacular architectural style of the region as well as roof system that is responsive to the daylight.
Grasshopper was to used to link the solar analysis data to directly affect the roof design.
